Let's make this official!
So I wanted to properly introduce myself to the community; I was thinking about how selfish I've been as a member of the SC community...I've gotten help multiple times without questions and haven't even posted pictures of the car that you all are helping out! That being said, here's my 1995 SC300
Future plans/mods are listed after the pictures

Well, there you have it. Don't be too critical, and forgive the pictures of my winter-time beast...gotta show love for all the cars

My goals for the car are simple enough:
Standard bolt-ons - Tanabe Medallion exhaust, intake, etc
Wheels - I've been through a huge fiasco with some LS 460 18" ten spoke wheels! The wheels themselves are great but of course the one year the LS bolt pattern changes from 114.3 to 120mm is the same year as the wheels I picked up. The mishap wasn't completely due to my own stupidity though, the seller told me they were GS wheels

Lighting - HID conversions; low-lights are done, thinking about 3000K for the fog lights. I've read that these fog lights are tricky, i.e. fog housings need to be taken apart and stuff.
Exterior - Thinking about a lip kit later on, but the car is classy enough stock so who knows.
Despite all of these I may decide save my money on the weak bolt-ons and go for the 2JZ-GTE swap, but the car is an automatic and the V160 6-speed that I'd look into getting is just absurdly expensive...does anybody know about if the stock transmission is capable of handling that kind of power, or if there's a tiptronic transmission that would work?
Anyways, thanks again for being such a great resource! As a first-time Lexus owner I've had a lot of rookie questions and haven't felt unwelcome at all in the community. I'm sure this won't be the last time I post...but at least now I feel better about assuming a position in the lowest ranks of the Club Lexus SC world

Take care!
As far as your 2jzgte swap, I've seen many people swap in R154's that come from MKIII supra's I believe.
R154 should be able to hold the power down granted its in good condition and you don't go for insane power levels where a V160 is the minimum.
Either way, good luck, looking forward to progress!
You can do mk3 r154 but you'll need to make some adjustments.
As for everybody else, thanks so much for the transmission suggestions
I'll have to start looking into them once I decide where my finances are. The V160 would be so sick (I'm sure ScottURnot can agree) but $6000+!?!? Absurd...
