I'm building a beat up SC400 into a ChumpCar racecar, which requires the value to be $500 or less. Our car is a previous salvage title, damaged car that had not been taken care of, so after selling off a lot of the valuable parts, I think it's truely worth $500. Plus, I only paid $550 for it to begin with. Did I mention it hit a bear?

However, to help demonstrate the value, I'd like to hear how cheaply other people have bought SC400s.

So, how cheap was your SC400, and in what condition was it when you bought it?

 

$3k with 265k on it, interior was good condition except for the front seats which the leather has been tearing

clean title, paint was ok shape for how much use the car has seen

5 years ago, with 4x,000 miles. Pristine condition.

Probably not what you're looking for though.

There are a few members that have gotten their cars for cheap though. I know of one or two that were bought for *<$1,000.

Surprisingly little. Between the strength of the chassis and the fact that is was a fairly small bear.

Decent condition. Interior needed some work, but not too much. The seats were the major thing. Great running condition.

 

$1200 interior and a few other gremlins need work.

 

1992 with 150k on the clock, a one owner Dr's Car. Everything in perfect shape and always garaged. Only $2500
