Default Clunk on downshift

Being that I let a friend borrow my daily driver, I've been having the pleasure of driving the SC every day to work (man I love this thing). On the way to work, I got into an altercation with a boosted civic hatch.

Through it into 3rd which placed me around 5800ish RPM and mashed it. During the down shift I heard a nasty clunk somewhere in the drive train. Metal banging around. The engine mounts are new and the tranny mount is in good shape.

I've replaced the rear pumpkin with a turbo aristo unit a while back. The rest of the rear subframe is OEM 225k+ miles.

Any ideas on what I should inspect/replace to prevent that? I'm also using a Chaser R154 trans.

Not on pump gas The noise didn't come from the trans itself....if it did, there would be much more booo hooo going on.

What about them? The back half i know is old and god knows about the front half since it had to be sourced from an MK3 during the 154 swap.

I know over time they can become worn out and have slop or your rear end itself might need to be re shim'd

Why are you asking people on the forums? I bet as sooon as you get it up in the air you'll see what the problem is. It's just that it's hard to guess.
