Default Dead Heater Panel please help?

2 nights ago I got in my car and half the light on the heater display was dead, but not just the light, the entire panel is dead and un responsive. I have no heat or defrost or even rear defrost.
Then I got pulled over last night for having no license plate lights, so I am wondering if the two are connected?
I have checked all my fuses and can't find any that spec handle either or both of those.

What else can I check to see why I have no heater panel and why my lic plate lights are dead, it's going to get old being pulled over for it VERY fast!

Any help is GREATLY appreciated!

damn, I just need to know if this is possibly an easy fix or blown fuse/relay or if I need to start checking Ebay for a new unit?

Almost every other SC I see has at least one license plate bulb out.
I know one of mine is out and a new bulb didn't fix the issue.

No it wasn't the plate bulb I was looking to fix, it was the heater display. I just figured out that issue, apparently a dime in my cigarette lighter blew the fuse, and after I replaced that it fixed the heater display

Before I figured that out though I took off my ground from my battery, and after that when I start the car the RPM's idle at less than .5rpm, so low that the car seems like its gonna die... man if its not one thing its another. Anyone experience this?
