Default First time at the track...

Took my new Lex to the track last night, got 5 runs in..
here are the stats on my best run. Just seeing if these are decent or not, and where I can make some improvements.

P.S this is my 3rd day with the car, and my 3rd day driving stick EVER.

Reaction .184
60ft. 2.196
1/8th mile 9.640 @72.528 MPH
1/4 mile 15.016 @92.113

Thats about it, just checking to see what anyone else has run.

Oh yeah, my car has 168,000 miles, 5 speed, and is bone stock except for some Toyo Tires.

Thanks

Not bad for such a short time driving the car from what I've read.

I suspect you'll at least be in high 14s with a better 60' time.

.184 reaction? Lots of red lights huh? work on the reaction Play with shifting and you will probably be able to reduce the ET with possibly a higher trap. I've been wanting to run mine for a while. Maybe next Friday. I need to learn the tree - each car is different and I'm used to an auto tranny, need to practice myself.

I'd say you did well, your RT is fantastic, the short time is about as good as your gonna get with the car, if you go back for a couple more passes, my goal would be to break into the high 14's, that would be great for a bone stock SC with 168,000 mi. So when are you going turbo so you can earn that name?

In my experience the reaction time target is .5 - below that is a fault and above that is a poorer start. Am I wrong?

You are correct. .500 is the perfect reaction time. Anything under is redlighting.

More proof that the tranny holds back the SC400...
If you want to get a clean time redlighting is the best thing to do actually.. if you're bracketing you're out but if you want to make sure you're not adding in any roll time there the best thing to do is just take off at that first yellow.

Well, at the track here, the only red light you get is when you go under 0.00... so I don't know. My only redlight was a -.007 so that is close to almost perfect for our track...

Exactly what? TurboSC, were you running up there at great lakes dragaway - where were you running? Just curious myself. All I can figure is that 0 represents perfect so -.007 = .493. Keep on racin!

I was at WIR in Kaukanuna, right out of Appleton.. I live in Green Bay, so that is the closest track to me. Me and my friends go down to Great Lakes in the summer though when everyone is out of school.
