high-pitched whine while reversing
Alright, so here's my issue... about a week ago i noticed that while reversing, my car would make a little whining/moaning noise. It doesn't do it all the time, but when it does, it's getting louder. It's ONLY when reversing, and no, the e-break isn't on, but it kinda sounds like it does when you leave it on. And it's only when the car is rolling or in motion... like if I hit the break, the whine stops, but then i back up again and the noise starts again. My car has been acting pretty sluggish and hesitating lately, I figured it'd just needed a tune up or something... BTW it's a 95 SC400 w/ 136k miles. All the opinions would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
I dunno... I've never had a car make this noise in reverse, it's reeeally loud, like the break pads are shot or something. but it's not happening when i hit the break, it's happening when i let off the break...
ummm no every car does not do that.... just so you know that exactly what my cadillac did before the reverse completely went out...
i dont get why you people say a high pitched whining noise coming from your transmission is normal? wtf?
