hey guys i have a problem with my stock radio, im not getting any sound from the speakers. the radio turns on and everything but no sound. any suggestions. im planning on changing it out to a double din, but moneys kinda tight right now. so yea. thanks for the help guys!

 

rhsc400, Post 2 Your speakers are most likely blown. In the front or rear, especially if stock.

That system is smart enough to know, that if your speakers are no good it will not let any sound come out of them, my friend just went through that. we swapped stock amps, same problem i kept telling him it was the speakers. so he bought some boston acustic 4", sounds just fine now. FYI when you do the double din swap if you dont have a harness to wire in so that everything just plugs up. then when you wire it up to get the antenna to go up and down there are 2 pink wires i think pink w/green stripe & pink w/blue stripe you have to hook both of those to gether with the antenna wire from the radio to get it to work. Mine did the same thing, turned out the factory amp was toast..Save and get your new headunit and some good speakers.

 

Ok cool! Thanks for the help guys! I guess a new double din and speakers it is!!! I need to find something soon. I can't stand driving without the tunes.
