I would think that the headers would come very close to fitting the LS.

To be sure how about you buy or borrow an SC front section exhaust from a junkyard and see if it fits on your LS - then you will know how different the SC exhaust is to yours.

It would be a start.

doesn't look like it will fit looking at the parts CD - different diagrams, different part numbers, different manifolds, different front section of exhaust.

Celsior exhaust:

compared with the Soarer exhaust. You will have to check for yourself to see how different the exhaust is.

Richard you can see some exhaust ideas on Soarer DieHard:

Just keep in mind the Japanese exhaust is different to US spec.

But I hope that I am assuming right that the headers will fit on to the engine correctly. I am not worried about my exhaust being redone but if I have to tweak with mounting it on the engine...doh!

The SC400 should be fine - it's the LS400 (Celsior) that looks like there may be problems.

After currency conversion and international wire transfer fees they come out to $725 each if you ship two at a time.

...
hello!

I should have the headers installed on my car within the next few weeks... unfortunately they've just been sitting here since they came in a few months ago.

For those of you who get them, you might have to go to several shops. A few local shops that I went to try to quote me on the Lexus Book time on replacing them... 10.6 hours. Yeah right.

Oh, and unfortunately I won't be able to put in some larger hi-flow cats, im already being stretched thin because I have to pay for the header installation, 90k service, TC, and TC install.

The purpose of the headers is to REPLACE the cats. I wouldn't go dishing out all this kind of money if I'm still keeping cats.

How many of you are keeping cats?

If I had the $ to do this right now,I would.
As for cats,I'd consider the ones made by Tubi that are placed into each primary, close to the port.

High flow cats
1. flow as well as a good muffler
2. help decrease the sound level
3. turn deadly carbon monoxide (CO) to harmless carbon dioxide (CO2)
4. convert unburnt Hydrocarbons(HC) and Oxides of Nitrogen (NOx), which give you that brown smog over the city, into harmless water (H2O) and Nitrogen (N2).

You can now hear the distinct difference that Tex's extractors make to the exhaust. Aaron and I both have similar 2.5 inch dual x-pipe exhausts - he has extractors fitted, I don't (yet).
We taped the exhaust sounds in front of Harry's place - couple of dyno run sound recordings there too. Don't know if you can pick the sound of my new exhaust cams - Aaron has standard cams and I have a bigger overlap and a larger duration exhaust cam.
