Toog, why should non-members or non-paid members get a good deal on something that CLUBLEXUS negotiated? Should only a few paid members have to support the rest of the non-paying users?
Also, the loaner is $30 fee...$150 for the deposit, then you get back $120 when the wheel is returned. If you think that's unfair, you can go and source your own loaner wheel...
...and speaking of becoming a paid member, it's only $30/year....if there is a Lexus owner on here that can't afford that, well then, they can't really afford to own a Lexus

One more person needed!
Also I just bought a loaner wheel for us SC400 owners so we can circulate it and not have our cars undrivable for a while. It will be handled in the same manner that Manaray is handling his GS400 loaner wheels.

Toog - It's cool...
I just irks me when other people who own a LUXURY car are nothing but cheapskate...they cry over $30 while trying to reap the benefits that other people are footing the bill for...makes me wonder...

Alright we have six so it seems. Everyone please PM Manaray or myself, Hermosa, so we can get this group buy for 4-spoke owners going. If you need to loan a wheel contact me and I will put you in the order in which I receive the PM.
Thanks

i'm very interested. however, i'm not sure i'd know how to remove the steering wheel myself.
let's say I get the dealer to remove it, i bring the car to the dealer, they remove wheel, i can't drive it, it's left there for 2 weeks? then they install the new wheel? i'm not sure dealer will have space to put the car w/out a wheel.
let's say i get the loaner, then dealer remove old, add loaner, i drive off, i drive back two weeks later, with converted wheel. dealer remove loaner, add in new wheel.
seems alota work to me and $ $ $ in dealer's time.
finally... how hard is it to remove the wheel ? from beginner to expert. what level what you say you need to be?
Thanks.

It all depends if you want to deal with the airbag. If this blows up on you it could hurt. I wouldn't take it to a dealer but just another shop and make sure you tell them what needs to be done. That way if they discharge the airbag they are liable for it. And under $400 plus the labor is well below the $2000 and up Lexus charges for a replacement.

Actually, the group buy hasn't even started yet. I am waiting the arrival of my wheel from American Stitches. As soon as it arrives and I write up a review (same day or the next), it will THEN officially begin.
The price is CHEAP and for some cars (like the SC), it's really your only option as there were never any "factory" SC wood wheels...
It's the perfect way to add more wood to your interior with adding the "wood stickers" (which looks COMPLETELY cheezy IMO)...
However, in order for you 4-spoke guys to get the deal, we need to have as many buyers as possible...
PLEASE refer to my other thread...

I want to keep all the questions in THAT thread so I am going to close this one...please reply there or PM me...thanks!
