Default Importing Cars

I don't know anyone who has imported a SC3 from the states but I do know someone that has imported a mr2. I am pretty sure you just have to pay pst when you register the car (BC anyways). I think GST will be needed to be paid when taking it through the border and some other fees for a/c etc. There are a few other things you have to do, I believe you have to declare to customs that you are taking one of their cars from the states and give them 3 days to clear things... then you can bring it in, before you register you have to pass an inspection to make sure everything is up to canadian standards, there are a few things that come into mind right away, day time running lights, states they aren't required, sc3 would probably have them, and baby seat hookup, I don't believe the states you have to have that. Here is a link to help you out taken from www.mr2.com site on how to import a mr2 hope it helps.

dated back in 96 but info should still be mostly up to date. Contact customs and I am sure they will help you.
