Default Which would you get?

Alright, here my question and money is not an object, so please leave that part of it out.

97 5spd oem

or

93 1JZ 5spd

I think I would get the 97 and go NA-T, what would you get and why?

97 because it's newer. The rarity is also a plus. And if you're in CA, and you get rolled, na-t is easier to remove than swapping the whole engine

97 5spd...A few reasons...

1) Glass High beams
2) Foglights
3) Butterfly cup holder
4) 97+ OEM body already installed.
5) More fuel efficient than the 1JZ
6) Bigger displacement than the 1JZ.
7) Rarity

the 97. because you dont need to worry about whether the swap was done correct and it has been untouched. then you can say you had all the work done.

97 for sure, good factory 97 kit beats adding it on to a early one. You never quite get all the factory conection points and clips otherwise.

Well that makes it east...MK4 TT

but if it had to be an SC, I would go with the 97 and boost it, either na-t or GTE(but only with the v160)..clean built 97+ SC with a clean GTE swap sporting a V-160, and you have a nice comfortable dual personality car..

No brainer. 97. I'd be too worried about the work that went into the 1jz swap and was it done right.

That's not on the poll

Well, I could sell the SC' and pick up an MK4, but I just don't see the point in dropping that kind of coin

The members voting for the 1J, please voice your opinion!.

I can see why some members would pick the 1J. It's a proven engine, it's already turbo, etc... What are your thought's?

I really dont understand the question i quess. I mean if money is no object i think everyone would get the 97' and drop in a gte???? But i think i know what u ment, I personally chose the 93 1jz because its already boosted a i love beating fast cars. I think it gets more respect than if u say that u have 97' but is 1 out of 120 built. But overview.

1. faster
2. faster
3. 93' sleeper look(what i want to be someday lol)
4. If i had a 97' i would probably baby it since its rare. So i say fun factor.
5. Oh yea i think its boosted too lol

97 5spd cause it newer and you can always drop in a 1j for a great deal or just go na-t depending on mileage. I might be bias tho!

97 5 speed, newer, probably cleaner, a lot more rare and a lot less problems

97 5 speed. buy a 1jz and build and rebuild it while you drive the n/a then eventually swap it later when the n/a starts givin you trouble. best out of both worlds
