Gauges install - need some hints/tricks
So today i finally got my last gauge (wideband / LC-1 controller) in from vgauges. tomorrow im going to install all three gauges (boost, oil press/temp, wideband) but im unsure on how i should route the wires and vacuum line that has to go into the engine bay. im mounting all three on the A pillar btw.
1. I need to know the location of a grommet so i can run my vacuum line, needs to be as short as possible so i have a accurate reading.
2. is there a under dash/steering column pinout or .pdf file that will tell me which wire goes to which so i can use my ignition wire for the 12v and the headlight wire for the dimmer.

did some more looking, im routing the vacuum and other gauge wires through the driver side. i think itll go through the clutch hole since i have a automatic, or through the steering column boot.
still looking for a answer on the headlight wire
edit:
as for the power for the gauges. the ignition 12v constant wire is white with red strip coming from the ignition.

if your going to do gauges and need a 12v constant just use the fuse box!
went to western auto and found this bad boy - Ad-line fuse holder

made the power connection soooo much easier.. i just pulled the old fuse for the cig lighter, put this in, put the old fuse back in and crimped my power. now i have working gauges!

sounds like you got it all done bryan767, you gonna post pics when its all done?? im only gonna be using a boost and wideband gauge on my car, but if the a pillar setup looks nice i might just go with an oil temp gauge as well to fill it in.
theres a rubber boot inside the drivers side front fender behind the black plastic right in front of the door. theres already a wire loom running through it and ive got alot of things going through with no problem...sub's power wire, wideband, vacuum for map-ecu, and a second cigarette lighter wired up
