Rant/Rave?: Car got hit

The drivers fender can be pulled back into place and the lower clips can be replaced if they broke off. They can patch the bumper in with some fiber glass cause it doesn't look like it was caved in. Definitely need a new head light though that thing is toast. Depending if your state is a no fault state I don't think your rates will go up since your car is parked. It all depends what insurance company you have and if the person who hit you have good enough insurance to cover both cars.

It could be a rave (a good thing) because the front bumper was already damaged when I got the car. Therefore, I don't have to pay to get the bumper replaced, this guy's going to do it for me. This is her before I got hit:
Notice all the stress fractures and the broken grill insert?

Got quotes today. $3222 at a high-price high-quality place 30 miles away. $3176 at a decent local place. On the quote of $3176 they forgot to factor in the broken washer fluid reservoir, so it'd be a little higher.
all new front bumper cover, fender, headlight, foglight, side marker, and reservoir.
Is the black grille insert part of the "front bumper cover assembly"?

Well their insurance guy just came by and looked at the car.
Apparently how American Family Insurance does things is they give me an estimate and a check for their estimate amount. I take their estimate and the check to any body shop I want and from then on out the body shop contacts the insurance guy.
He quoted me $2778 because he doesn't think the fender needs to be replaced. Obviously he's trying to save the insurance company as much money as possible. He said that if it can't be easily repaired, then they'll pay to get a new one.
Seems like a retarded way to do business, as if the body shop people don't know what their doing or something. I dunno.
