Rant/Rave?: Car got hit
Ok, so I leave the place where I partied for New Years this morning to find a cop out in the street writing out an accident report for some girls in an Altima that slid into a silver Cavalier. I looked down at my car and saw that it looked like it was damaged. I asked the cop what happened to the green coupe down the street, he said as he was filling out the accident report on the Cavalier, a Camry went to go down the street (which is on an decline), slid on the ice and hit my car. I surveyed the damage and took these pictures when I got home. I didn't have my camera in the car.
New bumper and headlight for sure, as well as a washer fluid resevoir, which was leaking at the site of the accident. Do you think I'll need a new driver's fender? I don't know enough about what can be done for that.
Their insurance is going to pay for this right? I mean, I don't see why my rates would go up over something like this.
This could be a rave because the front bumper was pretty cracked when I got the car and was going to get it repainted anyway.

It looks a little bent and a little scratched, I don't know if it'll come out or not. These pricey panels?

Do you have uninsured motorist on your policy? My truck was sideswiped in front of my neighbors house, his buddy hit it with a truck he borrowed. He wasnt insuranced, never heard from him again so my insurance covered it since I had uninsured. My rates still the same and didnt have to pay a penny outta my pocket..

Thanks guys, I'm almost positive his insurance will pay. Going to make some calls and get estimates on Monday and Tuesday.
Anyone had similar damage? Can you tell me what I'm looking at for new bumper, headlight, and washer fluid reservoir? I don't THINK the fender will need to be replaced.
