Default wiring help...

just got the 1j installed in my 92 sc300. few things not working; temp gauge, and rpm gauge.

temp gauge - i read somewhere on here that the temp gauge needs a resistor. also, i read somewhere on here that the ground just needs to be rewired on ik2. question is, which one works? which route did you guys take and can you confirm that it works?

tachometer - i read 2 ways to go about this. one way is to buy the msd tach adaptor and install. the other way is to bypass r2 resistor. which one of these two works? also, i read that one of these routes will make the rpm read different. do you guys know which way works?

thanks in advance...

Just remove your cluster and remove the white cover behind it, it being held in there by 4-5 screws.
Once you remove it, there will be a Resistor on the board and it will say R109 just find a speaker wire and junp the resistor and the tack will start work.
That's all i had to do to my cluster and it works fine .
My Temp gauge always worked so not sure on that one.
