Default 87-92 supra turbo engine

I know someone who can get me JDM 7MGTE engines. Engines only and no tranny and no other parts. Can we do anything with these? oh yeah... it only costs $1000

the 7m requires custom work as it is in no way related to the jz chassis... its made for a M chassis 87-92 Supra/Cressida specifically

the 1jz will fit in; but it will require the 1jz tranny as your sc400 tranny won't bolt up; and it requires the 1jz mounts; other than that its a direct boltin (barring the ECU and wiring harness swap)

Did you say you can get 1jzgte's? If so how much?

Also what other things would you have to do to make it work in our US cars?

O, and how much hp does the soarer come with stock?

Lexus SC400 Twin Turbo 1JZGTTE

2500cc 6 Cylinder Twin Turbos
2500 + shipping I don't know how much. He said he can definitely call his friend and get one for me if I wanted one..... i just wanted to know what the whole thing would entail.....

3000 for engine
2000 for ECU + harness +labor.
2000 for tranny... don't know if worth the work.....

he's talking about a front clip...

its everything forward of the a-pillar... engine, tranny, ECU, wiring harness (make sure it not cut), etc... the whole front of the car is shipped... shipping is crazy; but you get EVERYTHING you need for a swap

I hear you on the shipping. I just tried to get a J-spec GTO (mitsu 3000 GT AWD TT) from the middle east and they wanted 3 grand plus 1500 for right to left hand conversion but only wanted 4000 grand for the car... the whole front of a soarer for 7grand... doesn't seem to bad.....

You may also want to note that 'Half cuts' dont include panels. When shown for sale they show half a car...but when it gets to you
The Jspec soarer (if memory serves correct) will need the tranny and ALL electronics displays.

Would be ea$ier to get the sc300 engine and tranny conversion....IMO

true true....... I agree with the supra tt + 6spd transplant on Sc300 5spd is the best. Its just hard to give up my Sc400

May end up being cheaper to convert the 4 to a 3.

aaaand would be a lot easier to work on than a Jspec Soarer.

i'll just keep my sc400 as my beater(luxury beater) and just getting a supra TT or a busted sc300 5 speed and go all out. ok who's looking for a porsche 928? I'm selling!

ummm no... when they ship you a front clip, they ship you EVERYTHING... ECU, wiring, usually the dash, and the transmission
the body panels usually aren't there
