Default The Thone in which I seat

I am looking in to getting some racing seats for my 93 sc3 and I wanted some real life input on what u guys think about racing seats oppose to keepin the oem..This will be built as my weekend fun 400hp car but i still want it to be a Lexus(defining luxury if that make sense). I seen CleanSc recardo(sp check) racing seats and some nice Sparco's but are they confortable for me (6'2,225lb) and would i regrete the purchase everytime some1 hops in with me??
Thanks

I have a corbeau seat in my SC4.
I love it over OEM. It's not recline-able so it's hard to have fun lol.

But yeah, I'm 6'1 170 and I have no problem with it at all!

According to what you've posted up, it seems as if a racing seat that is recline-able would suffice.

I actually was checking out the Sparco Monzas online... I am lookin for somewhere in the area too test fit them. Do they sit lower in the car then the oem? i wish for some leather..ish seats that at least look like like they are suppose to be in the car and not in a d1 event

I have them in my 350z and the height is slightly lower than stock, but it varies depending on the bracket and slider you use. I went with all Sparco but others will fit. If you want leather go with the Milano. I might get the R505 or Chrono Road for my SC3.

dont do a racing seat/harness combo if you do not do a cage. its not very safe to do that way. As stated, if you wanna sit in a SC with a racing seat tho your more then welcome to come by and look at mine. If your in columbus area that is.

if the harness isnt setup correctly, you could damage your spine or more in an accident. for instance if the harness is too low you could compress your spine, and we wouldnt want that now.

Look up SCCA seat/harness requirements. There are certain angles/heights etc requirements to safely use racing harnesses.

what they said, With a standard seat they are able to collapse with X amount of force on the seat. when you have a bucket it is made not to collapse which means you will stay in one location. Add a harness into the mix then your really not going anywhere as long as its mounted properly. SCCA has great rules for mounting harnesses but it should only be done in a car that has a cage to stop the roof from collapsing. A harness if mounted properly will minimize how much your spine will compact. honestly a spine injury is the worst to have to ever deal with. just make sure you do it right.

I have a FIA Approved Cobra Suzuka Seat that I don't need, it's blue in color with no tears and has the side mount rails already. Let me know if someone's interested in it! I can post pics!
