Default Totalled my SC400 :(

Well i just picked up my 99 dpw sc400 earlier this year an it was my first luxury car, since i came from nothing but hondas. But sunday morning i hit a patch of black ice an spun out an went into the woods an hit 2 tree's. Rear end is totally smashed in, front end hit so hard it smashed the block split it right down the middle. Kinda sucks i loved that car the power an handling of it, but now i will prolly move on to something more up to date. So anyways im in the market for a new car its between a fully loaded 2000 bmw m5 light blue for 14k with 100k miles, or a 2005 yellow nissan 350z touring edition 48k miles with navigation 6spd for 14k. so if anyone can give me opinions that be nice, only downside to m5 is miles an cost to maintain them, but they do have 400hp an run 13.2 from factory stock an seats 5 comfortably.

Sucks to hear what happened and glad your safe.

As much as I like the Z's, I'd have to go with the M5 hands down. Luxury + Speed, what more do you want?

Haha im sure that m5 will, ive ridding in m3's so im sure the m5 is hella nice. I figured since im gonna get another car an spend a nice chunk of change i mind as well get something up to date, reliable an nice looking. Its just that 100k miles on the m5 kinda sucks compared to the 48k on the z. If i bought the m5 i wouldnt do jack **** to it an drive it careful so i dont break anything. An its going to be my daily also.....not bad for a 23yrd old i suppose.

M5 is sick! Get it if you have the money to maintain/fix it.

The bmw averaged 11,100 ish miles a year for 9 years. The nissan averaged 11,200 ish miles for 4 years. Assuming they were drivin jan 1 of 2000 and 2005 respectivly. Which one do u think was beat on more? The m5 or the z? I personally see more punk z drivers than m5 drivers. The z is cheaper to maintain and easy to mod but are a dime a dozen. The m5 is the exact opposite. I think you would get more **** in a clean m5 than a z, a yellow look at my flamboyance z at that. So if the z has a navi, the m5 should aswell if not get a good cellphone or buy the oem unit or aftermarket. When they are both priced the same I PERSONALLY would go with the bmw m5 and buy that us fidelis insurance thing so your covered for the high end maintenence! Hey turbo m5 or even a 2jz m5 sounds cooler than a yellow z. Plus u can fit more chicks in a m5!

I should have mentioned the average consumer puts 15k on their car a year. The 4 year old z has almost have as much as a 9 year (almost 10) m5. Its all relative

Did he intend to hit a patch of black ice? Do you want him to look out for it or something lol
