So, I was going to just stick with the tan interior and replace parts that needed to be, but I decided to go with the black interior instead. My carpet was already sprayed gray by whoever had originally, and the front seats are pretty much done. I was gonna stick with the OEM black front seats, but I found some S2K seats for $400 (I know they don't drop right in). I'll be getting the brackets modified in a little while and I should have some more pics up this evening. I'm also in the process of stripping the entire interior of the car down to redo everything in black, minus the wood inserts.
Other than that, I've also switched to the 97+ kit (thanks Kohinoor), in place of a *****ty Vertex knock-off that came on the car. I guess this is kind of a build thread, so I'll be posting more pics as I get done with more stuff. The car has sat in my garage for a year so I guess it's about time I got to work on it.
The drawback to them is how adjustable they are. They slide forward and back a good way, but can only recline so far back, I'm guessing cause they're originally intended for a 2 seater. They also sit pretty low. I sat in it just to see how big of a difference it would be, but it didn't seem to bad or low to me. I'm sure that's all just interpretation though and others may say that they're way too low.
Finally got everything minus a few small pieces out of the car. I also got the brackets for the S2K seats modified. I ended up having an inch cut off the outside rail of the S2K rails, cut the rear mounting brackets off the rear of the SC seats, and had them welded to the S2K rails. Everything lines up good now and they'll be ready to go in when I'm done, hopefully sometime tomorrow.
Thanks for the comments everyone! I just got done putting everything back together and wiping it down. The seats sit fairly low, e.g. I can adjust the steering wheel to it's lowest point and it still won't hit my legs. I like it though, and I think everything came out ok. Next month's task: coilovers. I still need to source a driver side door panel since mine is done, and I've gotta finish up the trim pieces in the back.
