Default Supra Suspension Questions

What is the difference between NA Supra shocks/springs and TT Supra Shocks and Springs as far as ride quality and how much they lower when installed on a SC300?

I would like to lower my SC300 a tad bit and maintain good ride quality like stock.

Are either of the NA or TT Supra shocks/springs for me?

Thank you

not sure the differences between the TT and NA Supra suspension..but I can say that if you get adjustable TT Supra shocks (KYB AGX, or Tokico Illumna) you can keep a nice smooth ride, and more agressive when needed.

I would say go with either the AGX or Illumna(sp?) with Eibach springs

as for the OEM TT Supra shocks/springs, you will only get a .5'' drop if I remember correctly. I would go with some aftermarket shocks/springs for the TT Supra, just be sure to add in the .5'' extra lowering when trying to figure the drop with the springs.

After installing full stock Supra TT suspension I have to say the front end looks silly. It sits higher in the front than the rear.

The car rides and handles great now though.

We went down the super twisty lime creek road after this meet and the SC300 did great riding on the Supra suspension. Here's a good pic of the front end compared to the rear.

maybe thats the weight savings from your ijz or no since its turbo instead of NA?
prob. not enough weight diff to matter.

When you say it rides great does it still ride like a lexus?

Thanks

Next time your around USF let me know and you can ride in my car. Its on Supra TT shocks with supra Eibach springs. I think it drives better than stock and it looks good too.

when you say it drives better, it still drives smooth over bumps and feels like a lexus luxury car with all of the lowering, different spring rates and all?

I would say it is more stiff than OEM but not like stiff as a board either. Over small bumps its still smooth so I would say its still Lexus feel.
