Replacement low beam bulbs
Or you can modify 9005 (hi beam) bulbs to fit into the low beam locale, makes a nice difference.

I have high beams in the normal lights as well, and it doesnt appear that bad since the projector housing lense disperses the light somewhat. I dont think it will matter as long as the lights are aligned properly. And yes it made heaps of difference and I cant go back to normal bulbs. I used some Navara optiblue's 65w(still shows as clear white instead of blue, but better than stock yellow). Now I got to change the side lights to something more substantial (and white) to finnish the look.
Toan.
P.S. how often will a cop pull you over and take the bulbs out to check?

true, I needed to align lower. when I first installed, it was too high and I could tell the light was annoying the driver in front of me. and I worry about the cop too. but now it's right alignment so no problem.
007, there're some threads about "how to modify etc.." so just look for 9005,9006 ..using CL search engine or even google.com.
sorry I dont have the link with me now.
Modification is easy job. I just used the solder and nail clipper(?).

Cops are dumb. If you aim a halogen projector directly into their eyes, they'll think you have HIDs.
To fit a 9005 bulb into a 9006 socket, all you have to do is look inside the plug on the bulb. The 9005 has two teeth on the upper bridge and the 9006 only has one. Stick a pair of wire cutters in there and cut the two teeth out. Then on the bulb socket, you'll see three guiding tabs. The short tab is slightly off-center on both 9005 and 9006. On the 9005 it is off to the right and on the 9006 it is off to the left. You can use wire cutters to cut a small piece off so they'll fit in the 9006 socket or you can just cut the whole tab off.
The 9005 is brighter because it is a 65watt filament and like Lex Luthor said, they don't have the nickel-plated brass cap.

Correct, cops are dumb, they haven't hassled me about the bulbs, then again I never drive this thing, only put 4K on it since i've bought it, but yeah, if they're aligned right, it looks fine, not obtrusive or attention-grabbing, you'll be fine, unless you live in a town where there's no real crime and the police depend solely on B.S. tickets like a light bulb for revenue.
