For the ones that have the O/D light flashing thats certanly a sensor or malfunction within the transmission but if u do not have any O/D light flashing i gurantee you its ur ecu. I had the same problem for months wondering WTF was wrong and went checked all aspects that pretain to shifting (engine collant temp sensor/solenoid/fluid/) and cam to find out it was my ECU. I bet if you have someone near you that will lend you a fully working ecu it will shift in overdrive no problem

i definitely going to try it! today, i'd try to pull the code on the transmission there was no code.

you guys are right, i drove it to sushi place today and no O/d light flashing, drove just fine but when i went on a step dip and did a turn it flashed for a bit then as i drove straight it went away, perhaps i do have a bad ground or connection on mine.
