You can pull timing but not add. Their approach to pulling time is just lengenthing the signal which is sketchy IMHO. 02 skew is worthless, they have problem after problem after problem with hardware and flashing B.S. I had one go out just last week on an IS I tuned. To tune everything properly and have it be somewhat reliable in AFRs you have to pull all 02 sensors. Keeping them in and tuning with 02 skew or maf tables will be relearned over time and change your entire AFR range.

+1 for the map 2, I have it its not the best thing out there but ill take it over the fic. My personal recommendation depending on the quality of work you are happy with is to go for more of an upgrade unless your getting a steal on a used one.. and this is why map 2 700ish plus patch harness to be pretty 185ish plus boost solenoid 75 and anything else you go with puts you around a 1000 and for a couple more bucks there are way better choices. I still have the map 2 but if I could go back in time I would have saved money and went bigger, however it still is getting the job done for me.

Haltech > AEM anything. I have never tried the Wolf, so no input there. Bang for the buck wise your best bet is to find a used AEM EMS on SF for cheap. Go standalone and never look back. If You're dead set on a piggyback, ECU2 or Haltech is probably one of the best you can find. But for the price of an ECU 2 you're not that far away from a complete stand alone.

as a na-t builder i would recc save your money and go aem or haltech standalones..

for power above 400 ish , timing is critical with the na setup ..stock ecu has no reference points for correctly pulling timing when boost hits, it does its best via knock sensors but very unrealiable

piggybacks are piggybacks , the stock ecu will always attempt to relearn and make short term and long term fuel trim corrections , its a impossible fight

map ecu 2 is halfway decent but still a piggyback

go aem spend the few extra hundred , tuning cost wise its only a couple of hundred more , but once tuned nothing changes , you only run on coolant temp sensor, iat sensor, map sensor and tps sensor no check eng to throw ecu into limp mode and all that crap

i have been aem tuned since 10/08 and will never ever look back , nuff said

what about for low power applications..

Less than 8 psi of boost..

thats what these things are designed for, right?

i agree with lex on this as a tuner for tt supras and some tt sc's haltech over aem aem over power fc power fc over map ecu and vpc afc over the blue box of death greddy e-manage
you should be able to find a cheap aem ems on sf and then you can have justin nenni tune your car if you have more questions i recommend you try contacting from his web page at tuningconcepts.com
