ABS Sensor Removal & Install
I have found it quite difficult to remove the abs sensors. Depending on the year I have found the abs sensors to be manufactured differently. Some are all plastic and some are a metal/plastic combination. The repair manual just states to disconnect the wire harness and remove the single 10mm bolt and then remove the abs sensor from the hub assembly.
Which in most cases things become seized and rather difficult to remove. I can get them out, but they end up breaking apart and separate and the other broken half of the sensor remains in the hub assembly and I had to drill it out to get all the plastic out.
And then when i attempted to install the new abs sensor it was an overly tight fit and I am pretty sure i damaged the sensor when installing. I had to tap it with a hammer to force it to slide into place. Picked up another sensor for $40, but I'm waiting to install until I can get some advice/tips. Summer was ok without traction control and I need my abs back b/c I almost wasn't able to stop when a car pulled out in front of me. Snow/Ice + No TRAC + No ABS= No Good
There has to be a way to remove and re-install the abs sensor without damaging it. I've seen plenty of intact abs sensors on ebay so i know its possible. Thanks for any help. I had better luck changing the timing belt than with this sensor.

Yeah its pretty easy.. There is only 1 bolt there holding it in place. I had to remove my it on my cousin's when we changed his shocks/struts because when we took the upper control arm from the hub, it was going to snap it off.....
