"High-Milage
Hey gang,
Question about these "High-Milage" oils appearing on the market these days. Right now I am running on Valvoline Max-Life, which I hear is pretty good oil, actually a class 3 oil comparible to Castrol Syntec, which is just a really really highly processed dino oil, not a true synthetic. I'm about to do another oil change soon ... has anyone else been using Max-Life, Pennzoil High Milage, or Castrol's Product for a while? Any opinions regarding these products in long term use?
I really have nothing to compare Max-Life to, since I changed to this oil as soon as I got the car. So far, so good as far as I can tell. A good value at around 1.87 a bottle , much cheaper than Castrol Syntec.

I'm not sure as to what type of oil to recommend but I've been using AmsOil and AmsOil Filter since day one (bought in '95) and it has been running great with 165K on it. Actually, it idles smoother than my 2002 ML55.
