I hope someone has the answer...SC400('92) automatic...starts every morning like a charm...make my first stop and sometimes it starts and other times, no luck!
Some brief history...had a more severe starting problem several months ago...changed the fuel pump...ECI relay...main computer...appeared to solve the issue.
During this initial problem I finally got it to start by "hot wiring" the the EFI relay in the fuse box. This is what I do now when ever it doesn't start.
When I return home I pull off the "hot wire", replace the EFI relay and the next day it starts once again.
There seems to be some relationship with sitting over night and the starting issue...is there some part that needs to build up pressure with time to start each morning?
I apologize for the lengthy explanation...this is very frustrating to say the least!
Does the engine just keep turning over and not firing up when you start the car? You should start on the basics. Battery fully charged? Maybe its going bad? Alternator good? Starter good?
