Default intake plenum removal

OK Im trying to get the intake plenum off to replace the valve cover gaskets but the exhaust connection is holding me back. I tried to disconnect it from the top and that didnt help and I cant get to the bottom bolt on the back side to take it off ther e so what else can I do?

Funny. I got it off. I just love it when smart asses awnser someone in real need of help. I mean seriously take out hte engine to do a valve cover gasket? HA! good one.

lol, sounds like someone needs the toyota manual.
you didnt even say what engine you are working on. I would assume you are talking about the egr pipe, but there are like a 100 things under that intake plenum. and yes that bolt is a pain to get to.

Sometimes the bolt gets hung up on the gasket it self. I just did it, so it is possible. .....no wait, pull the motor! <---- WTF
