what the hell is this?

Look at # 17. What is that? What motor is in it? It reads 115,000km which is like 80k miles in the US. If thats the 2JZ-GTE (TT) motor then 1000 for the entire car is really good. Does anyone know anything about this?

Alright, from what I've read there has been 3 Generations. MKI what that picture above... MKII is our beloved SC300 & SC400. The MKIII is the SC430.
The twin turbo engine in there I would suspect to be the 1JZ-GTE. It's a 2.5L version of the supra 2JZ-GTE. It's also the the MKII Soarers sold elsewhere (read japan). That's the older brother of our cars... Look long and hard @ how far toyota came with the SC300&400.
PS... Making the car street legal in the US will cost more than the car itself... Around 7 large i believe. Aussies got it easy tho!

That is more correctly referred to as the JZZ20 Soarer. At least that's what ALL the Japanese magazines refer to it as...I've never seen it refered to as the MkI, MkII, etc.,...just FYI...
Our current SC is the UZZ40 and the last generation SC is the JZZ30 and UZZ30 (UZ if it's a 8 cylinder/400 and JZ if it's 6 cylinder/300)...
The JZZ20 Soarer was also available (or prototyped, I don't know whic) with a RETRACTABLE HARDTOP...did Lexus/Toyota copy Mercedes like so many believe? Hell no! Toyota had that idea MANY YEARS before Mercedes...
Trust also had a JZZ20 Soarer hit the 300.5 km/h (186.73 MPH) mark back in December of **1984** using a 5M-GEU motor (2.8 liter turbo) with TWO TD-04 turbos...
