I stripped it down. It matches pretty well.

looks great! i just redid my interior black suede and leather also. i was contemplaiting dying my carpet but ended up gettin a black stock replacement.. i was afraid it was goin to turn purple.. lol

Damn that looks pretty good Matt it looks like it even died the leather part on the carpet how long did you let it soak for and could you please post up a pic of the box of Rit you used ?

Thanks. Its just the powder RIT in black, only 1 type of this made. Got it from Walmart

I will be going over the leather part in SEM to make it fully black. By looking at the carpet, it seems pretty good, its drying right now so tomorrow I will be able to see!

Looks good bro. I chose to spray my carpet and mats.. I also have the gray and black interior combo. I havent seen anyone else like it yet so far..

oh thats straight i didnt know they had it at walmart i go check it out

I know this is an old thread Pheonix, Which is why im bumping it. How is the carpeting holding up after a few years of useage?

Wait, someone said they used Rit dye to dye their leather....? Can someone chime in on this as well? Cause i'd like to see how that turns out.

Rit does not work on leather. Wouldnt dye the headliner.. the cardboard in it would probably distort heavily.


I forgot how long ago I did this. Its holding up fantastic... No issues whatsoever! Actually tomorrow I am doing my Supra's carpet. Funny I see this thread now.

I bought black carpet because I was unsure about soing this. Maybe I should dye my old carpet and sell it on here
