Default Will my 18's clear TT brake setup???

I forgot to do some research before the purchase and kinda rushed it but the deal was too good to pass up. I just picked up a complete TT brake system last night and it hit me that my rims might not clear.
Will my Work VS-XX 18's Clear the TT brakes front and rear? They measure 18x8 and 18x9 with offsets +38 all around. I want to make sure before I start pulling off the old setup. The seller told me that they would clear but I just want more clarification just to be sure..

One more question. Is this a direct bolt on or do I have to do any MODS besides removing the dust cover sheild?

They might, my 19s needed a 10mm spacer in the front but the offset was +40.

You may need some spacers for good fitment

Based on the WORK VS-XX sizing chart:

http://www.workwheelsusa.com/media/w...5/VSXX_PDF.pdf

If you have an 18x8.0 +38 it should be a standard A-Disk face

Double check to see if you can find out the disk face labeled on the wheel to verify if it's A-Disk

Based on our data this will not clear TT brakes, you would typically want to run a R-Disk for safe clearance (R Disk has more clearance than A, typically you want at least 5mm or more of clearance with the caliper)

At this point since you've already purchased the wheels, best thing is to just test fit and see how much you'll need to clear (spacer wise, if any)

Thoretically you could dry fit the TT caliper/rotor and just hang your current caliper out of the way, to give you an idea of what you'll need to do beforehand

Keep in mind that offset when using multipiece wheels does not affect brake clearance. Brake clearance in multipiece wheels is dependent on the disk face used. If you want to get technical, sometimes the overall diameter of the barrel also affects brake clearance.

In addition for the VS-XX specifically the 19" VS-XX face has different brake clearance than the 18" VS-XX face.

For any other questions please feel free to PM me or contact a WORK Authorized Dealer.

+1 ^^ Get a tape measure n measure from the face of your rotor to the upper inner part of your spoke. 2.5" is the clearance you are shooting for.
