Default PPS System Help

I have a 98 SC300 that has appeared to have lost the power steering. After doing some forum searchs I found out about the PPS system. After doing a little troubleshooting it appears that the Solenoid has opened up, it should read around 7.7 ohms.
I'm trying to get a solenoid with no luck, It's marked "Toyota 88438-30020"
The Lexus dealer is trying to sell me the next higher assembly at $755.00
The toyota dealer can't help me with this part number.
Any thoughts, or should I just drive the car with heavy steering at low speeds.

It won't be heavy. It'll be high pressure the entire time..... it's great. Been running without a regulator for close to 4 yrs. One finger steering from 2 mph to 122 mph.
