I'd like to see the final result of this, 'cus I have a thread open about the very subject.
Has anyone ever swapped into their SC, a gauge nicer cluster from another Lexus/Vehicle?

Im thinking about perhaps doing this with the IS300 Cluster..
Think it'll work?

I tried it, but it proved more trouble than it's worth.

I managed to get a 2001 Nissan Maxima cluster up and working in the car, but took that out and just put LEDs in the stock cluster.

It was pretty tough, but in the end it wasn't good enough for me.

I got mostly everything working other than coolant temp. I don't have daytime pics of the SC300, but this is a pic of when I retrofit the 2k1 cluster into my '98 Maxima:

Got as far as making the wiring diagram, and gave up when the wiring went into CAN-BUS and integration relay territory.

I alo toyed around with making an S80 cluster, and actually bought one off of ebay, but that was 100% CAN BUS and unusable. Pity, it's one of the better clusters available.

Yezzir... I'm gonna have to do that to my SC eventually... I'm not gonna have a choice. That's how I want it too. Bright white with the blue needles... I think you can change the colors of the digital numbers,too... B-E-A-UTIFUL.

I think the SC cluster looks HORRIBLY dated, even with LEDs.

I wanted to retrofit this, but the stupid CAN BUS got in the way.
