Also, whats this "CAN BUS" you guys are talking about?
It's from a Volvo S80.

CAN BUS is closed area network BUS, a way of interpreting data from the ECU. Basically a small amount of wires do the job of a large amount. Instead of the 40-something wires that the SC has, the Volvo has around 10, and it sends a proprietary encoded signal to be deciphered. Not interchangable in the least.

could you wire up the cluster direct to its sensor source skipping the ecu ???

I would think the same, and have to agree. I love the Supra interior..starting to wonder if an entire dash/center console/cluster swap would be feasible..

The Supra does have a pretty cool dash cluster so I would like to see how it looks.

im bumping this again to get some criticism, but I am highly considering swapping a complete MK4 dash/cluster/center console/door panels(if possible)etc. into my SC, and eventually the MK4 seats..figured Im running the GTE ecu, why not take it a step further.

anyone here have a MK4 that would be willing to take some measurements for me?

BTW as for an odometer, just pull the odo out of your existing cluster, extend the wires going to it, and relocate it. I'm sure you could find a place for it. But it is a separate unit from the other components in the cluster

Wiring shouldnt be an issue here right? I am about to do a 2jz swap, if i buy a supra cluster, and provide wiring hardness to Dr.Tweak, I'm sure the cluster would work, but i'm just wondering if it's all worth it and how much headache I'll need to fit it in
