alright so i have 2 questions.

#1 the shifter slants to the right and not the left..... right?

#2 does the white thing around the ball socket have anything to do with how much play there is when the shifter is in gear?

if it does where can i get one?

if it doesn't what can i replace so i can make sure there is no play when in gear? i know the older W58s you can get the shifter bushing replaced but what about the 95+ external type? or does it not have play at all?

 

and also am i suppose to have another rubber shift boot that goes under the leather one from lexus?

 

Looks like you have everything there far as the shifter assembly goes.

There is a sound and heat blocking boot that goes under the leather shiftboot.
