Yeah Ill be completely honest I was disappointed when I first heard it start up. For me its too quite, not much more louder than stock. But the sound is amazingly smooth! Once under load and you step on it the sound really deepens more but like I said is not too loud. I keep being told it is badass although I do wish it was louder. Oh well, nothing I can do now, I can feel some gain in the cars performance too which is good considering I was little nervous about the size of the piping. I believe that the lower sound is do to the way it was setup and that there are very few bends in it and because it is larger diameter piping, IDK just my guess. PICS and VID will be up thursday!

They are Magnaflow 14236's, offset 2.5" in/out.

Trust me this whole ordeal has been a pain and a big disappointment so far. The quality is there but for some reason it just doesn't "roar" like it did when I had just two cats and a resonator. My friend had this exact same setup with 2.25" piping and 14829's instead of 14236's with alot of crush bends.... it has to do something with the combination of the lack of bends and larger diameter.

I don't know about 14236, but for 14829 if you look at the exhaust tip, you can clearly see that although the tip is 4 inch, the opening inside is no bigger than 1.5 inch, and that's what makes it quiet...and raspy. Does not sounds as good as other straight through mufflers at WOT.

give it some time, does it sound like a Boxer engine? just give it some time and it will be all that you want it to be. I was disappointed at first too, but then now I am very happy with sound, loud enough everybody will notice, but quiet enough that your hear will not start ringing after you've driven it.

I cannot believe that this thing is not just ridiculously loud with that setup.

Shorten the overall length and then you will hear alot more volume.

Look at JDM Muscle, his is the exact same without mufflers and it's just ridiculously quiet considering he has no mufflers.

The other thing would be to gut the cats, you would pick up some volume(maybe some flames too) with that.

I am going to put test pipes in once my friend tests them on his car, but this thing was ridiculously loud with two cats and resonator, now its two cats and straight thru mufflers. The length idea does make sense too, but the whole situation just seems odd.
