Talking Cusco Front Strut bar replica

Hey guys,

I will be making exact replicas of the Cusco front strut bar I have for my SC400.

I'm just curious how many I should make at first. I have a connection that promises to give me a great product.

Please send all your questions to Tony@iRotors.com

Thanks,
Tony

Why make exact replicas? At least change it up a little so no one mistakes it for a Cusco one...

and make one that actually fits on a sc400..no resting on the engine and no use of washers.

Well mine doesn't rest on the engine...I guess the only down side is that you lose the "L" on the top of the engine. I don't see why you would want this bar to go on top of those black washers. I've had mine for a long time and it works fine.

As for making changes, I don't know what to change =T

Any input would be appreciated!
I'm just seeing how many people would be interested...if enough would get one, I'll go through with it.

Let me know guys!

Will this replica bar (and the original) fit the SC300s?

i'd like to see a pic of your strut towr bar clearing your engine cleansc4... for a long time (i can remember from ladman), no one had one that fit. then soarer-007 said he can order strut tower bars specifically for the sc400 since the jdm doesn't fit (and i know this for a fact since i had one).

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...threadid=18088

however, i've never seen or heard of them fitting unless you modify it (you're the only one clean??? you have a special one?). unless people have been picking them up and now saying anything of it...

i'm curious...

I will post pictures of the bar asap!
If you have that emblem on top of the engine, it will touch that. But after you remove it, it fits fine.
This bar is the Cusco Strut Bar Front OS
It also fits 1993-97 Supra T/T

You're completely ignoring the question about the sc300....

I will have to find a SC300 around the area and see if they'll let me put it on...

This is work in progress guys so please bear with me.

That's a picture of what the bar looks like, I didn't have time to snap a picture of mine, but that belongs to Chris (Smooth8) owner of LexusSC400.com

So, i'll be looking for an SC3 to test on in the meantime

Aznteazer - If history repeats itself, it's most likely that it will NOT fit a SC300...the 2JZ-GE just sits too high compared to the 2JZ-GTE, 1JZ-GTE, and 1UZ-FE motors.

Lex - I don't know that a round bar of that diameter (TRD) will fit under the hood...I was looking at my buddy's SC300 and SC400 and there isn't too much room there...

I am waiting to get some bar stock samples from a few sources to see what I can make the STB's out of. I know I've been talking about this for a while but it wasn't until recently that I was able to get a donor SC for fitment...

Cool, keep us updated Manaray

I'm glad you're looking for an SC yourself or else we probably wouldn't have you helping us out here

Meanwhile, me and ACleanSC4 will try to meet and put an end to the debate of whether the Cusco bar fits the SC300 or not. Fully documented with pics =)
