I'm not sure how this would work out after doing some reading on TIS.

It turns out that the ABS module itself controls the rear brakes for traction control. The smaller, seperate module (next to the abs module) controls fluid from the traction accumulator and pump. Not sure what would happen if the accumulator and pump were taken out of the loop but the abs and traction modules were left in place.

I think, regardless, it would be easier to get rid of everything all at once. As for my delete project, I have all the parts I need (95% sure anyway) and I'll be starting on it tomorrow night or Saturday night.

Wish me look and look out for a writeup and pics.

ABS / TRAC delete is done! Will get to starting a new thread (with a few pics) in a day or two. Will also have a few suggestions on how to do it better than I did.

Very simple to do. I spent more time trying to make it look nice (before giving up) than anything else. Pulling the parts took about 45 minutes.

I do have both the ABS and TRAC lights on , I need to try pulling the main fuses (already pulled the relays and ecu), if that doesn't work I guess I'll pull the bulbs out.

Haven't actually driven the car yet but I did back it out of my garage (and pulled it back in) so I could clean the floor and all seems well so far.

If you could put the individual systems on the scales and help us know how much weight we're talking. Thanks

I don't have a scale but I could probably use the shipping scale they use at work. I'll see what I can do.

There is definately some weight to it all between the trac pump, trac accumulator, trac module, abs module, abs ecu, relays, brackes, lines, ect. I have it all in one box at the moment and it's definately a "lift with the legs" thing.

I still don't think you can seperate the two. TRAC and ABS that is. Don't know for sure though.

I bet you have a lot of more room in the engine bay. Excited to see the DIY and pics.

HAHA, sorry if I'm keeping you in suspense. I'll get to it soon.

It's actually a bit ugly. Now that I've done it I can think of a few better ways to do it that would look much cleaner. It's also quite simple to do.

Couple of quick updates. I had to ground my RR speed sensor for the Suprastick to work in auto mode. I had accidently grounded the wrong wire and it so happens it was the ABS dash light wire. ABS light is off. I still have the TRAC light on, guess I'll need to pull the bulb.

Tomorrow, I'll be putting on front and rear EBC "redstuff" pads. Taking the rotors off now so that I can bring them to work and machine them.

I drove it 10-15 miles today and all feels good so far and no leaks.
