being a 20 yr old car isn't a good stamp on the paper of the person that considers how they make their money.

They list the AE86 though, more then likely due to its cult following *sighs*

I still dont get why people insist on calling the car a ae86, its a corolla, call it what it is don't try and make it sound all fancy!

yes I know the chassis code is AE86 but you just seem like a fan boy calling it a ae86.

If you think about the soarer/sc has lots of TRD parts cause it shares them with the supra and what not.

As for people calling it AE86 that is annoying esepcially when its an 85

Every 'SC300/SC400' in the USA is a Lexus.
You cannot order Toyota parts from a typical Lexus dealer, and you cannot order Lexus parts from a typical Toyota dealer in the USA. I'm sure someone will come on here and say they have, but TECHNICALLY Lexus has a completely different parts catalog.
TRD USA means Toyota Racing Development, not Lexus Racing Development- Which is why they do not carry Lexus SC parts.

TRD JAPAN does carry jzz30 Toyota Soarer parts, because it's a Toyota there. Here is the link:
http://trdparts.jp/english/top.html
(You have to do a parts search to get anything to come up, such as twin plate clutch, or mechanical LSD for Soarer btw)

its still an AE86 even if its an 85.....The Corolla (AE86 chassis) is listed on TRD due to it history. It was originally designed to be a rally car, the SC does not have a SOLID racing background even being somewhat based on the Supra.

A lot of things has been discontinued, says the website. I don't think its age and relatively small tuning scene helps either.

Im worded that wrong and you misunderstood. I meant people calling levin/trueno AE86 when they are AE85 chassi

It's interesting to note that there are TRD parts available for the IS/Altezza but absolutely non for the SC/Soarer...Lame!

well actually trd in the u.s. was a separate company til i think it was 89 .i use to customize 71 -72 celicas way back then.
But yes i do go to toyota to get my Lexus parts partly because i get better pricing but mostly because i know the parts guys and gals and yes lexus and toyota are in the same parts database now .
i actually still have a original trd binder with part numbers .

That's what i've always called it, if I called it a Corolla you would of asked which one and the Corolla Levin/Trueno AE86... is the oldest car in there i'm pretty sure.

Yeh the Soarers share the same chassis with the Supra, but not EVERYTHING is the same so it'd be hard to tell what's what without part numbers?
