You could probably use the tranny and front axles and whatnot off of an AWD 1st gen Aristo to make a 400 AWD.

I don't understand why someone would do that. I'm sure there's a reason, but damn. Buy a 4wd car that does things better than the SC will. This is not the most balanced car in the world.

I thought about doing this for about 5 minutes one day, then realized that I can't afford to wipe my own *** so I laughed at myself and carried on.
I bet skyline stuff would work if someone really wanted to do it. They have similar dimensions.

I don't mean to step on anybody's toes ,but these days when it comes to "tuning" a car. You are expected to stay in the [box]. I am pretty sure there were people that told Smokey,"Hey, why are you putting an unproven van engine in a supra that has a 2jzgte?" or "Hey, why are you swapping a 3sgte into a supra?" Realistically a 4wd sc has no real purpose other than to be unique.Besides if they can make a rwd scion I belive it might just be possible.

+1 on your comments, anyone who attempts this is asking for a boatload of trouble down the road!

You would want a world where everything is the same? If no one went out of the box everyone would have stock sc's here, which wouldn't be that exciting to see, and your quotes only work if this was say, converting an sc to fwd. Who knows, this thing might work out great and people could use it on the street with close to no problems.

only real reason i would want awd is cause i live in co and im ~6mi out of the normal city plows for when it snows and my work truck(used only in spring/summer/fall) is rwd only too. so id rather have a awd or for me a transfer case so i can turn on 4x4 when i need it. either way, its to much work so ill prolly just get another truck that i can use on snowy days ><

I completely dig the 4wd hooks better than 2 thing, but top fuel dragsters aren't 4wd. I've driven several supercharged and turbocharged cars that are 4wd and both were HELL to keep straight under power from torque steer so I sure as hell wouldn't drive one on a drag strip and have boost hit @ 100+ mph as the car hits third. F that! Besides 4wd is a lot more rotating mass, more weight, more crap to break, more of everything BAD in a drag car. You don't need 4wd in a drag car. Bad idea. .....My 2 pesos.
