Default Short drive and testing a camera mount

Well ive been tired of drifting my events and not knowing how i can improve because i have no way of seeing what i was doing at the wheel with out seeing it after my runs so i finally came up with a camera mount. it cost me all of $5 to make and this is me testing it out. may be boring but its just me crusing in the car. I was about half throttle leaving the gas station btw.

Looks clear w/o a lot of shake and sounds great, nice job! Not sure what camcorder you're using but you might consider getting a wide angle lens adapter to screw on the front.

My wife has one on her track car camcorder and can pretty much get the full windshield (example link below). We've added some padding under the camera which has helped out with the shake you see in this video. She's uploaded this with crappy resolution but you get the idea

Assume you've either got a harness bar or half-cage you're putting it on and can shift it right and left some.

Thanks guys, The camera is mounted to a Harness bar and ive already moved it over some so ill be testing it again at the track tomorrow.

the camera is a JVC GR-D295U, and the there is a wide angle lense on it already i just didn't bother to zoom in at all. ill mess around with zooming it a bit tomorrow when im ready to use it. to me it was a success full test on the street but well see how well it does under some exceeding forces.

Thanks for the post. I've always wanted to see a test drive video of a stock SC300 or SC400. You've got some mods, but I'm amazed at how smooth the car seems to be. How many miles and what what year is your SC.

Sounds great and thanks for the vid.

btw biggu.... has discovered that the blackberry storm fits perfectly in the cubby hole right next to the radio.

as so have I... so people that don't have cup holders there... if you have a black berry storm... perfect for that slot.

(I couldn't figure out where to put my cellphone.. and voila.. it fits right there!)

Nice video! It would have been more exciting with some more on boost driving!

What's the long, tall lever on the passenger side with the ball on top?

As Chris Forsberg would describe it as the "Awesome Handle" Or a hydraulic hand brake. No gay drum brake for Biggu.
