lower scratch probably happened because the impact pushed in the top far enough to cause the bottom to stick out, then contact as they drove away. It's Urethane, so it flexes.

without the headlight and core support there you'd probably have a pushed in bumper. I'd make sure everything behind it is OK.. Probably impacted hard enough to cause your car to rock back an inch or so.

Whomever painted your bumper before did a pretty good job with the flex agent...rockin job.

sorry to see that happen, I always see random scratches on my car as well. Now I park away from ppl as much as possible...

 

i feel for you man this really sucks.. just buff most of it out, also the fog lens, would have been better without that crack.. yeah me too, I always see random scratches on my car.. i hate these careless people, all the love and hard work we put into our cars, and they just easily ruin it, and when i tell them like like to not lean on the car, or when it's dusty(this is very common) i tell them not to write name on it coz it will scratch the paint, then they give the look! f***ng idiots! sorry for the rant..

Damn you guys have some pretty creative minds, especially the idea about the bike with the pegs..lol

The bumper is actually cracked around where the foglight is. I'm going to have to get the bumper reglassed and clearbra it again. I think there may be a possibility that my bumper got backed into like SC400Dude said but I guess we'll never know.

I walked around our school parking lot for over half an hour looking for cars with weird/new scrapes and every single car had some door dings of some kind. Pretty sad... And Mike, I totally agree that UCSD drivers suck. It's because they're all Asian. There's this one girl in my class that almost T-boned my car and the next day almost reversed into someone's car. :facepalm:

Schools are the worst....

 

I was hit in a parking lot and it broke my Taillight and the people had the nerve to pick up the broken pieces to make it look like nothing happened. There were no other marks though..really wierd. Sorry to hear about that

 

damn bro... that really sucks! something like that happened to me a week ago, but they swiped my side and left a nasty dent....
you can buff most of that of easily... Good luck.
