Default how do u guys feel about ADR?

i have a set on my SC (they came with the car). however b/c 20's don't do me favors, i wanna buy another set rims, and they happen to be ADR's. i wanna get em for the fact it's easy on my wallet. $600 for rim and tires. any of you guys had ADR rims on your SC's or any other car before? good, bad or meh?

For the money they're alright. I've known a few people with them and they don't have any complaints.

I would get them, as I would get xxr and stern wheels. I feel that I could spend 1200 on turbo or hell 1200 is a auto 1jz.

Well I know I would get bashed for this but I just don't see the need to spend 1200-3000 on wheels sure I love to have a set of ccw classic's but at this time I just can't afford them so I would get xxr 962 or adr m-classics, or stren super mesh 7.

OR just buy a good quality set of rims that are USED.... usually get a good deal if you search & are not in a great rush...

I have the m-sports, Im happy with them, I think they look really good, and good offsets are available. I think they look a lot better than other forked-spoke rims.

I think the big difference in those ADR's and my Forgelines or Volks is the weight. They are definately the heaviest rims I own by a good amount. Fit and finish quality is great IMO.

Back in the late 90's my first Z rocked 18" ADR Enigmas (poor man volk III's) and They were pretty decent wheels. Never experienced any cracks or bends while rocking them. ADR is a decent bang for the buck wheel and at $600, you cant go wrong with that price!

ADR seems to make a pretty decent wheel, just pick some good sizes/offsets and rock 'em hard. Like someone else mentioned, the other option would be to find some used rims for closer to ADR price.

it is what it is. i know people with ADR. its a nice rim.

is it a lightweight ultra jdm wheel made from the finest metals and japanese babyblood. no

but its a good looking wheel that does what its supposed to.

i feel the same way about rotas....everybody doesnt NEED advans or works that cost more than their car. yeah you save a few pounds. but is it really ALL that different then someone buying a bs civic and spending 10k on audio and paint? those extra couple grand could go towards better performance mods. i would proudly roll around on stocks or some cheap rotas with a faster motor then the other way around.

at the end of the day the MAIN reason people spend what they do on wheels is looks and rarity. the 'performance' aspect is basically there to justify spending 5 times the ammount per wheel.

thats not to say i wouldnt like some volks....

its just not always the best setup for everybody.

I think the best thing to do is buy a used set of high quality wheels from a legit forums member.
