Default Swaybars,

While we are on the subject of bushing replacements. Does anyone have the dimension of the stock swaybars?? I am going to do all of mine at the same time, lower control arm bushings, swaybar bushings, and custom swaybar endlinks.

I've recently got in hands 2 pairs of bushings for the front LCAs, left & right that are made of rubber and have the outer steel shells just like the original Lexus bushings. And I just don't need them anymore. In order to replace these bushings, no burning or heating is required. All you do is to press out the older bushings with their shells and press in these bushings. The job will be quick and easy. These bushings are made in U.S. If any of you have any questions, please PM me.

thx for the response, however, im trying to troubleshoot which bushing/s are making the noise on my car. Its coming from the rear, clunking is when going over moderate bumps.

If the clunking noise is from the rear, it could be sway bar bushings, sway bar links that have little ball joints, strut mounts, loose bolts, or maybe control arm bushings. However, rear control arm bushings wear out much after the front control arm bushings. You can see that most of the force and pressure on the front when you brake, stop, accellerate. Mine has 145K miles and the rear bushings are still fine.

Yes it is definately in the back and when i drive with the window down, i can hear a "click" everytime momentum gets shifted, ie braking, acclerating, stop acclerating and the noise is from the same spot.

Just jack up the rear of the car and give it a visual inspection. You can clearly see the endlinks and sway bar bushings once you get partially under the rear of the car. I actually just drove my car up a driveway and laid down on the ground and saw one of my endlinks were bent. The ball joint was torn and the endlink kinda had an arc to it, not good. So they were removed and new Toyota endlinks and Daizen sway bar bushings were installed. Took me and Rscott about 20 minutes for the entire job...and we were BSing a little too. Let me know if you have any questions man.
