Default ABS on a 1jz swap 5sp

Hey guys,

I have been looking around and trying to find out information on how to get the ABS working after doing a 1jz 5sp swap into a 97 sc300.

Does anyone who has a 1jz swap actually have working ABS in their car? If so how did you get it working.

I am thinking that I need to get an ABS unit that does not include traction control and hook it into my harness instead on the trac + ABS unit since when this is plugged in gives me an CEL because the trac control ties into the actual engine and reads out wrong. What do you guys think about this?

Does anyone have a ABS only unit that they would like to sell or trade for a ABS + trac unit?

ANy input on this would greatly help.

Thanks,

-GP

So I havent gotten any responses yet, but i am going to try this and see what happens. I will let you guys know if it works so keep your fingers crossed. I probably wont be able to get my hands on the ABS computer until about Monday, so will try to hook it up sometime next week.

in the mean time if anyone has tried this or knows a way to fix the ABS issue in a 1jz swap feel free to spill the beans!

Yeah well, if someone knows they dont want to give up the goods, or they havent seen this post but I am sure that many people must want to hook up the ABS or does everyone just dump the ABS once they do the swap.

Let me know how the P/S goes, cause mine is still a little tight when not moving but losens up when driving. But I thought it was supposed to work in reverse! haha

Update, got my spacers last night will be installing today after work hopefully can drive around a little bit to start the break in period. Here comes the boost!!!

I doubt you will be able to just swap the abs unit and computer and have it working. You will probably have to do some 're wiring as well.
