bov issue maybe?
first of all i have a 92 sc300 with 1jz in it. the bov ( knock of greddy one ) is mounted on the inlet ( other side of the throttle pipping. ) I know the bov suppose to make pew pew sound when is only boosting. but the thing is that even when the car sitting there or revving it up there is no air comming out from it. From what i know is that even when sitting there, there should be air blowing out from the bov. So i am wondering if anyone having the same result from a 1jz motor or if anyone have any idea. i did appericate it. thanks in the advance.
P.s i am new to the forum and only got my sc300 for 5 days and already in love with it.

actually, the ONLY time the BOV should vent is when you've been on the throttle and have built up boost, then close the throttle...
at idle, it should be completely closed, under boost it should be completely closed - the only time it should open is just momentarily once you lift your foot off of the throttle
BOV's vent excess pressure in the intake system between the turbo and the throttle body - essentially without a BOV, when you would let off the throttle, it would send a surge of air back towards the compressor (turbo) which could stop it or slow it down dramatically - this is not good for it... so, we add a BOV in line to vent that excess pressure to prevent damage to the turbo
