stock/almost no modifications=stock belt

high revving motor=hks or gates

timing belt stretch only becomes an issue with high rpm and age. unless you are going to rev 12000rpm stick with stock. at those rev, not reliably possible on a 2jz, you have other upgrades to worry about

 

right i completly understand what your saying but in my case i am in need of tune up which would include a timing belt change. I am stock right now but within few months i plan on going boost with ported head and valve work so wouldnt it be a good idea since i am changing the belt now why not spend the extra cash (which isent that more more then oem) and get a good one ???

 

Theres a reason why all the big 2jz names run OEM...

 

Well a lil update for you guys... I made a call and did some researching and i just cant make myself spend the extra scratch right now .. so i went oem, Ill take the extra 110 bucks and add a little more and maybe get a Driftmotion pulley set......or maybe some green neons lol...jk.......

But good news is i got a set Stance GR+'s on the way!!!!

I will get sum pics up of the polished valve covers and cam gears if you guys would like?

aww all this and u went oem LoL ... I am still debating either Gates Racing or HKS ?? i just dunno where to get an hks one

alright i guess the only thing i have to decide it either blue or purple LoL... I want my build to include as many HKS parts as my wallet can afford (prob not many) so i might just get the hks one i'll post up when i get a new TB
