clunking sound

Default clunking sound

hey guys i have searched all over the forums cant find my answer. when ever i stop real slow like push on the brakes i hear clicking sound sometimes not always or if i back up . i wish i knew wat it was but i cant find the answer my suspicion. is its a ball joint, wat elses would make that sound also i drove alot of scs and this problem is. when the car is in park and u push the brake pedal and put it in drive it jerks forward anyone know wat that could be,

Could be a wheel bearing. I have the same symptoms and jacked the car up to see what it was and it happend to be a bearing...might want to check just to be safe.

try this 1st before buying parts

if its tight u dont hear any hummming sound "bad wheel bearing" while driving at high speed its your Lower control arms which is my problem in that case buy 93-98 supra control arms i jus ordered mines from carson toyota for 560 shipped for both sides the lexus replacements are 600 + per side save your self some money supra lca are interchangeable to sc300-400 all yrs

I read some time ago on this forum about the jerk forward if you have stock engine. It may be caused by the position of the trottle sensor, I think there are two positions you could use. One gives a softer ingare motion than the other.
