Exclamation 1jz altenator ?'s

Hello Guys,

I had a question regarding my 1jzgte jdm altenator. In doing my swap into my sc300 i have noticed that the altenator plugs are different. The sc300 body plug is a 3 pin oval shapped and the 1jz alternator is a 3 pin round plug.

Is there a big difference in the altenators from 1jz and stock 2jzge as far as amps.

What do most of you 1jz guys do for this issue?

In your case you have a 95+?

Cut the oval ALT connector off your SC body harness. The wires are actually the same colors, just solder the 1JZ ALT round connector to your SC body harness wires, matching the wires, and your good. Don't forget the heat shrink.

I have a post about this in my build thread, in the sig below.

I got the TT radiator hoses
16571-46150 upper hose
16572-46160 lower hose
TT water pump
16100-49856
and if you replace the water pump make sure you get the O rings

Thanks for the info and part numbers. So the hoses are a direct fit or did u have to play with them a little?

The hoses fit, and for the P/S line.

Click on search>advanced search, and type in power steering hose and search the sc300 forums. You'll find a thread with the exact part #'s you need to take to a hydraulic shop to build you the hose you need for $40-60 bucks depending on the quality of line you choose.

OK, great that works. I just swapped my ge alternator in today and it fits perfect just didnt know if it function properly. Do you have a system or anything else that might drain power from your car?

Ya I have a sub. I've never experienced a drop in power before. I'm running a costco battery and it stays right around 13-14
