Thinkin of painting headlights and tails
Before i start, has anyone done this before, and does anyone have any tips on how to make it come out looking right? Ive got some paint made just for this, so its not common black spray paint. Thanks everyone.

I have seen so many of these painted or smoked, and still none to my appealing. I like the 95-96 clear tops, on the 92-94 orange ones. Maybe I like it simple sometimes. If you decide on doing it, post some before and after pictures. Sorry I couldnt be more help. Check out www.lexls.com. They have a decent write up on there for the LS, but the same principle. What kind of paint are you using?

i wouldnt paint the headlights, maybe the tail lights but i like red/clear or all-red tails more. if you had a black car then black would match and look the best for either head or tails.

The sc isnt a supra. On supras when people color match the headlights to the color of the car it looks sick. I cant say the same about the sc.
I have seen people paint the inside black and deline the headlight and i have never liked it. The way the scs headlight is shaped and the fact their is nothing inside means the oem chrome/lined looked is the best. Anything else and that mystery factor is gone making the headlight look dirty.
Case in point

I'm just going to throw this out there so you have some choices. For the tailights I would go with a vinyl job. That way if you don't like it you can always take it off. Plus you don't have to get the paint perfect in order for you to be happy with it. Here are my tailights with vinyl.
As far as the headlights go I would leave them OEM and just get clear sidemarkers to match everything in the front. If you want to paint the front headlights take your time to do them right or else they are going to turn out horrible. Good luck in any of your choices and post pics when your done.
