Angry Key will not come out

My key is stuck in my ignition and I also have something under my shifter making a clicking noise when I press the brake. I was told neutral safety switch, so I replaced it and still no... My guess is whatever is making the clicking noise is bad and therefore telling my car not to release the key. I would very greatly appreciate some input.

I believe that the clicking noise that you are hearing is normal and is the sound of the release letting go to be able to switch gears. I had a similar problem but I was able to remove my key but my engine would not shut off, they said it was my starter. It could possible be that your key got hot and might have melted

That's not it because the key will come out after about half an our of the car being shut off. And it never used to make the clicking noise before. All the fuses are good too.

Maybe check if you're in park all the way. Sometimes things get stuck in between the gap of park and the end. If there's something in the way then the key wont be able to turn to the far left position.
